Dr. Radhakrishnan School of Learning, Hazaribag, is a dream project of the members of ‘Santripti Educational & Welfare Trust’. With the support of eminent educationists and luminaries’ of India and abroad, the trust members felt the need of opening a school of high standard at this Uttari Chhota Nagpur Commissionary headquarter. This school will run under the close supervision of the Principal and the School Managing Committee, envisaged to provide a well furnished campus for the students for their all-round development – in body, mind and soul. The entire objective of the school is dedicated to a vision, the vision of developing complete human beings in the new millennium equipped with knowledge, discipline, faith, sacrifice and patriotism.


AIM & OBJECTIVE


The aim of Dr. Radhakrishnan School of Learning is the pursuit of excellence for all, to create a happy, caring and co-operative atmosphere which celebrates learning in all of its forms. We aim to create high standards of learning experiences and a nurturing environment that encourages each pupil to develop qualities of self-discipline, organization, motivation and the enjoyment of working hard which educationist Radhakrishnan School of Learning will be a young man/woman with a creative and enquiring mind committed to life-long learning who is aware of his/her potentialities and determined to use them for the betterment of society.Our motto is “Divyam Dadami Te Chakshuh” which means “I give you divine vision to save humanity and social values of school.
MANAGEMENT OF THE SCHOOLThe school has a Managing Committee of local educationist and other members which include the Principal and the committee , along with the Principal ,handles the appointment of staff members. However, the Principal and staff members may be advised by the committee on these matters as and when found necessary.


SPORTS & EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

At the DRKSL, constant efforts are made to ensure all round development of a child, therefore special emphasis is laid on sports and extra-curricular activities. A sound programme of physical education helps a child develop a strong and healthy body and provides him with valuable recreation. All students are encouraged to take part in team games as well as excell in individual games. Games are arranged separately for boys and girls under the supervision of qualified teachers. Recreational games are provided for Nursery to Std. II. The School has well-laid out fields for Cricket, Football, Athletics, Badminton, Kho-kho and Kabaddi. Inter House Competitions are held for all games. Besides this Yoga training is imparted. Co-curricular activities like inter-house competitions are held for various activities viz. Elocution, Poetry Recitation, Debate, Story Telling, Spelling bee, Article Writing etc. in both English and Hindi at different levels. Participation in such activities contributes to the enhancement of the student’s personality.

LIBRARY & COMPUTER EDUCATION

The school has a well stocked library with sufficient number of supporting and reference books of all subjects, novels, periodicals, newspapers and story books which are provided to help students cultivate a reading habit and become up to date. Keeping in view the challenges of the new millennium, computer education is imparted to students right from Std. I onwards. There is a well equipped computer lab with the latest software. The school has installed a most advanced array of computers for the purpose.



LABORATORIES

Dr. Radhakrishnan School of the best school laboratories in the region and an excellent tradition of students scientific experimentation under the guidance of highly competent teachers . The labs are well - equipped with all the facilities required for practical work .Experiments are performed very methodically with each students having individuals apparatus to carry out the experiments . All the four labs ( physics, chemistry, biology) are spacious properly maintained and well –aired and illuminated.
